Overview
The LIFE-IP AdaptInGR
"Boosting the implementation of adaptation policy across Greece" is the most important project for adapting Greece to climate change.
The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Energy and implemented in cooperation with 18 strategic partners from central government, regional and local authorities, academia, and NGOs. The project has eight years duration (2019-2026) and an overall budget of €14.2 million. An €8.3 million of the budget comes from EU funding, €2.5 million from national funding (Green Fund), €3.1 million from partners funding and €0.3 million from private sector co-financers.
The project aims to endorse the implementation of the National Adaptation Strategy (NAS) and of the 13 Regional Adaptation Action Plans (RAAPs) and to prepare their revisions through actions and activities at national, regional and local level.
