ADVOCATES FOR IMMIGRANTS IN DETENTION NORTHWEST

Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest is a Washington State-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate support to immigrants detained at the Northwest ICE Processing Center (NWIPC) in Tacoma, WA, and those released to the community. Founded in 2005, our team of over 200 dedicated volunteers and a small staff work tirelessly to improve detention conditions and facilitate successful resettlement. We offer vital services such as phone access, book and puzzle programs, welcoming services for released immigrants, and transportation assistance, all aimed at alleviating isolation and fostering hope. AIDNW’s commitment extends beyond immediate needs, connecting immigrants with essential resources and building a supportive community as they navigate the complexities of their new lives. We are a crucial lifeline for vulnerable individuals seeking asylum and a more secure future in the United States.
