Aid to Inmate Mothers (AIM) is a Montgomery, Alabama-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting incarcerated women and their children. Since 1987, we’ve been a vital resource, providing services that strengthen family bonds and facilitate successful reentry for women returning to the community. Our core work centers around monthly visitation support, educational programs like the Storybook Project and parenting classes, and comprehensive case management for both incarcerated women and their guardians. AIM’s commitment extends to assisting families with essential needs such as back-to-school supplies and holiday gifts, ensuring children receive the support they deserve. With a history rooted in collaboration and a vision for a more supportive criminal justice system, AIM empowers women and families impacted by incarceration, fostering stability and hope for a brighter future. We serve families connected to Tutwiler Prison for Women, Tutwiler Annex, Birmingham Work Release, and the Montgomery Women’s Facility.
