Alaska Huts Association

Alaska Huts Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and maintaining backcountry lodgings that foster camaraderie, stewardship, outdoor education, and Alaska’s cultural heritage.

Our vision is to establish a network of linked backcountry huts, offering diverse wilderness experiences and educational opportunities to the public. We operate a system of three backcountry huts and one backcountry cabin in South Central Alaska, providing comfortable and friendly accommodations for adventurers of all ages and abilities.

Located in Anchorage, Alaska, our facilities – including the Manitoba Cabin and yurts – offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the stunning Alaskan wilderness. We strive to create a self-sustaining resource that stimulates environmentally sensitive economic opportunity in the region, attracting visitors and promoting responsible outdoor recreation.
