AMEKΩN S.A. was founded in 2003 in Patras, Greece, and is engaged inlead-acid battery and lead scrap recycling. Our production facility; one of the biggest and most environmental friendly battery recycling plants in Europe, has a nominal capacity in excess of 10.000 Mtn of lead per annum. AMEKΩN focuses on the production of: • Soft lead (min. 99,98%) • Lead alloys • Lead sheets • Raw material of polymer polypropylene • Sodium sulfate powder Our products are exported mainly to major lead battery manufacturers and with many years of experience in the lead industry by using modern techniques and equipment, the company has won one of Europe's top positions for the quality of its products. AMEKΩN S.A. is certified according to ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and OHSAS18001:2007 standrads. Our goal is to continuously optimize the quality of our products through investments, scientific research and improvements in our production processes. Without discounts on health and safety issues, we also pursue ongoing cooperation with institutions and research centers in order to achieve proper environmental management of the by-products resulting from the treatment of lead compounds and the minimisation of its environmental footprint.
