American Hospitality Institute

The American Hospitality Institute and its sister organization, the International Hospitality Institute, are working together to advance the global hospitality industry. True to their charter, AHI and IHI are committed to fostering excellence in the hospitality industry. AHI and IHI aim to improve conditions for hospitality practitioners by creating awareness and influencing governmental and corporate policy. The core focus areas of the institutes are: 1. Training of hospitality professionals 2. Certification of hospitality professionals 3. Recognition of industry leaders, top performers, and other stakeholders in the American and global hospitality industry through the Julian Award issued by AHI and IHI. 4. Function as think-thanks to influence policy and as a bridge between government and the hospitality industry.
