American Legion Arkansas Boys State is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering civic leadership and engagement among Arkansas high school juniors since 1940. Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, we provide an immersive, week-long program where young men simulate a state government, learning about the responsibilities of citizenship and developing essential leadership skills. Through hands-on experience in mock elections, legislative sessions, and administrative roles, participants gain a deep understanding of democratic principles and the importance of civic participation. Arkansas Boys State has a distinguished history of producing influential leaders, including former President Bill Clinton, Governor Mike Huckabee, and Senator Tom Cotton, demonstrating our commitment to shaping the next generation of engaged citizens.
