The Anchorage Museum is a leading cultural institution located in Anchorage, Alaska, dedicated to sharing the art, history, culture, and stories of Alaska and the North.

We serve a diverse audience, including residents of Anchorage and visitors from around the world, providing engaging exhibitions and programs focused on people, place, planet, and potential. Our mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of the Circumpolar North through a variety of mediums, including visual art, historical artifacts, and community engagement.

Founded in 1968, the museum has grown to become a vital center for cultural exploration and community connection, offering a dynamic range of exhibitions, educational programs, and public events. We are proud to be situated on the traditional homeland of the Dena’ina Ełnena.
