Design is our passion and our profession. Our aim is to produce incredible architecture by embracing everything that makes a scheme unique, especially the people who use it. By upturning architectural hierarchies we help build meaningful and just communities. Architecture Unknown embodies the interests of its directors, Charlie Butterwick, Daniel Kelso & Shaun Jenkins. We are passionate about sustainable design, architecture for the community, modern construction and couple these with a quality architectural service. We aim to produce unique, community-focused, socially valuable buildings. We believe design and construction should be intricately linked with an inclusive output where everyone feels part of the process. Architecture becomes more than just the route to a building. We try to create subtle social connections where none previously existed as people construct a shared understanding of place. We feel it is vital to find a balance between all the actors who use space, from client through to the occasional user. We use our expertise to enable both our clients and communities who use the space to attain an agreed level of shared ownership of the space, benefiting all those who use, interact or just pass by the space. Helping people benefit from this approach is our purpose, our profession and our passion. We’re very lucky to speak to people everyday with the same enthusiasm for the place, design and the environment. We always aim to serve the 100% where our ideas for innovation are inspired from figuring out how to accomplish the most with the least cost, least disruption, the least impact on the planet but with maximum effect, beauty and usability.
