AUiX

AUiX is Air University’s Innovation Accelerator (AU innovation Xcelerator), a US government agency based at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, dedicated to accelerating problem-solving through education, communication, and engagement. We connect Air University’s nearly 200,000 graduates with partners in the Department of Defense, academia, and industry, fostering collaboration and developing innovative capabilities. AUiX takes ideas ‘one step beyond’ simple research, transforming them into tangible solutions through a structured framework that includes idea validation, funding acquisition, and strategic partnerships. In 2022, AUiX achieved an average of 1.25 months from idea to requirement and 2.8 months from requirement to contract – demonstrating a significant acceleration of the innovation process. Aligned with the CSAF’s challenge to ‘Accelerate change or lose,’ AUiX is committed to driving strategic foresight and building a force prepared to prevail in any high-end fight. Our work encompasses a diverse portfolio of projects, including the Praxeum initiative, Ledx Conference, and the REFUEL app, all aimed at enhancing readiness, fostering innovation, and preparing the next generation of leaders.
