Bears Etc

Bears Etc. is a Texas-based non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and providing sanctuary for neglected and abused bears and other exotic animals removed from the illegal exotic pet trade. Established in 2017, we operate the nation’s first bear-centric sanctuary, offering a permanent, community-based refuge where these animals can experience a ‘PEACE of the Wild.’ Our mission is to connect people with nature through education and awareness, while addressing the urgent need for safe havens for displaced animals. We facilitate placement for animals in need, working with private owners, animal control, and road-side attractions. Bears Etc. also provides educational programs for all ages, promoting responsible animal care and advocating for stronger laws to protect these vulnerable creatures. With a growing network and a commitment to sustainability, we are building a state-of-the-art facility to ensure a brighter future for our rescued animals and the wider community.
