Bernard Sims Associates

"Keeping People Safe, Making Work Possible" Established in 1995, Bernard Sims Associates (BSA) is one of the UK’s longest-established independent health and safety consultancies operating throughout the UK. With offices in Guildford, London, Lichfield and Leeds we offer Health and Safety Consultancy (Audits, Risk Assessments, Policies etc), CDM Consultancy (Principal Designer, PD Assist), Fire Risk Assessment and Health and Safety Training. At BSA, we’re committed to keeping people safe in all kinds of workplaces, not just construction sites. Our services go beyond simply avoiding accidents, and the costs and lost time they incur. Through consultancy and training, we help shape people’s attitudes and understanding, helping to create a safety culture that reduces costs and downtime, and increases people’s well-being and productivity. We’re not the health-and-safety police, coming in with our rule-book and telling you what you can and can’t do: we’re your partners, involved at every stage of the project, right from inception to completion. Our friendly and approachable team of experts are drawn from a range of professional backgrounds. Our aim is to think beyond the H&S manual and take a realistic, pragmatic approach as part of the project team. We understand the practical time and cost implications of compliance, but also of potential breaches. We’re here to make sure things don’t go wrong in the first place – and sort them out if they do. We are proud to work for a range of clients ranging from large corporates to SMEs in a variety of different sectors. Bernard Sims our MD, says "we believe health and safety should be at the heart of every organisation: a natural part of how people work and think. By providing practical, relevant advice, we help our clients create that positive engagement - and we demonstrate it too, through the enthusiasm and expertise of our own team."
