Better South Dakota

Better South Dakota is a South Dakota-based nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Established in 2022 as Long Live MC in memory of Emmanuel "Manny" Christopher, the organization has evolved into Better South Dakota, driven by a commitment to impact countless lives. We address critical needs through three core initiatives: Counseling, focused on supporting K-12 schools with a $10,000 annual grant; Faith, fostering youth mental wellness through partnerships with local churches and faith organizations; and Giving, providing scholarships and grants to students, businesses, and community members. By combining an "early intervention" mindset with faith-based support and targeted giving, Better South Dakota is building a stronger, more resilient community in South Dakota.
