Black Dog Fitness LLC is a specialized gym located in Knoxville, Tennessee, dedicated to providing exercise classes and personal training for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, mental health challenges, and stroke recovery. Founded in 2016 by Zach Guza in honor of his father’s battle with Parkinson’s, we offer a supportive and empowering environment. Our mission is to help people FIGHT BACK AGAINST PARKINSON’S DISEASE and improve their quality of life through movement. We provide Rock Steady Boxing, fitness classes, and online workouts, all designed to build strength, balance, and agility. We are East Tennessee’s only gym specifically focused on this population. Rock Steady Boxing, our flagship program, is the first program in the country dedicated to the fight against Parkinson’s disease.

At Black Dog Fitness, we understand the importance of consistent exercise in managing these conditions. We offer a range of services, including one-on-one personal training and small group sessions, tailored to individual needs and goals. Our trainers specialize in working with people with neurological disorders, providing personalized support and guidance. We believe that exercise is the most effective treatment for Parkinson’s – a belief rooted in Zach’s personal experience and extensive research.

Our membership structure is designed to fit your schedule and budget, offering flexible options for classes and access. We also provide a free YouTube channel, The Parkinson’s Gym, with a wealth of at-home workouts, interviews, and daily living “hacks” for those living with Parkinson’s. We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive community where individuals can thrive and live full, happy lives.
