Bluewater Basecamp

Bluewater Basecamp is a boutique hotel and event venue nestled in the scenic Eklutna Valley of Chugiak, Alaska.

We offer a comfortable and thoughtfully designed retreat for guests seeking both rest and adventure, providing modern chalets, concierge services, a sauna, and versatile event spaces. Bluewater Basecamp is dedicated to prioritizing comfort and creating a seamless experience, allowing guests to truly disconnect and reconnect with what matters most.

Founded on a shared vision of creating a unique Alaskan experience, Bluewater Basecamp was established by Teal Sky Heller and Russ Carpenter, combining their expertise in land development, construction, and a deep love for the Alaskan wilderness. We are committed to providing exceptional service and a memorable stay for all our guests, fostering a sense of balance and well-being.

Our venue supports a range of uses, from intimate wedding celebrations and private events to retreats and group stays, with on-site accommodations and flexible layouts designed to facilitate connection and create lasting memories. We respectfully acknowledge that we are located on the traditional lands of the Dena’ina People, who have stewarded this land since time immemorial.
