Bocconi Students Quant Society

Bocconi Students Quant Society is the first Bocconi Association strictly dedicated to quantitative research in everyday life. Our goal is to pioneer the creation of an unprecedented initiative in the Bocconi community: involving students in the dynamic field of research. We aspire to seamlessly connect them with various departments and professors of the university, providing our members with hands-on experiences and opportunities to contribute significantly to the field of mathematical research. Our commitment extends to all areas touched by mathematics, and we actively engage in producing high-quality research papers and comprehensive reports across each of our four specialized divisions. Through these endeavors, we aim not only to stimulate a dynamic and collaborative environment but also to make substantial contributions to the ongoing debate within the mathematical community. The association's four divisions are primarily focused on producing papers and conducting in-depth research: Mathematics This division focuses on discovering the world of numbers and how they can be used to create a reality where we decide the rules: we embrace a worldview where mathematics plays a central role and we are ready to enjoy it to the fullest. Economics In this division, we focus on creating reports and articles which nurture an understanding of overall economic phenomena such as industries or macroeconomic occurrences, with a special focus on a quantitative approach. Quantitative Finance Quantitative Finance division specializes in applying mathematical and statistical models to analyze financial theories, financial markets and companies through both a case study approach and more classic research one. Music and Arts This division uniquely explores the world of music and arts through a quantitative and mathematical lens, employing data-driven approaches to analyze musical compositions, artistic trends, and cultural influences.
