Bononia Estate Winery & Resort

Bononia Estate is a family-owned winery with 160 hectares of own vineyards, situated along the shore of Danube River, North West Bulgaria. The story behind it is like a journey through the centuries, as it inherits and unites the traditions of 3 centuries. On the site of the winery, the family restored and preserved an original building from 1895, which was one of the first breweries in Bulgaria, which later on became a winery. Bononia produces mainly quality white wines, due to the terroir, but also offers light and delicate red wines. There are 5 brands in the portfolio, Gomotartzi, ISTAR, Oh La La, Bononia Estate and First Vintage, all of them with accolades from international wine competitions. The winery operates in a fully closed production cycle, offering its partners control over the quality, flexibility, consistency and long-term cooperations. In addition to the winery and vineyards there is Bononia Estate Winery & Resort - a luxury boutique hotel with 22 rooms, modern restaurant with teracces and great Danube and vineyard views, outdoor ‘infinity’ pool with wellness zone, various tasting and barrel rooms, cigar bar, conference and event rooms together with many activities on site.
