Braddock Bay Bird Observatory

Braddock Bay Bird Observatory is a non-profit organization dedicated to ornithological research, education, and conservation, located on the south shore of Lake Ontario in upstate New York. We conduct vital avian research by banding thousands of songbirds each spring and fall, contributing to a deeper understanding of their migratory behavior and ecology. Our work supports community science initiatives, promotes responsible stewardship of avian resources, and engages the public through educational programs and resources. With a team of experienced permitted banders, research associates, and dedicated volunteers, Braddock Bay Bird Observatory plays a crucial role in protecting and studying bird populations in the region.
