CANDEL ENERGIA The Candel Group The Candel Group consists of two companies engaged in the sale and marketing of solid fuels, these are Candel Energía S.L. and Candel Micronizacion S.L. CANDEL ENERGIA S.L. is a company whose main activity is the sale of solid fuels (petroleum coke, metallurgical coke, anthracite, hard coal and biomasses). CANDEL MICRONIZACION S.L., whose main activity is the drying and micronization of coal and petroleum coke. Located in the Robla-León, counts on with it owns machinery for the execution of its activity. FACILITIES CANDEL ENERGÍA S.L., has a 20.000 m2 storage yard of out of the port facilities, within the grounds of Aboño’s cement factory, and 15.000 m2 on a second line of El Musel port - Gijón. As well as Prefasa - Langreo storage silos. CANDEL MICRONIZACION S.L., has a plot of 5.000 m2 located in the Robla-leon. This plot has some sheds with an area of 3,000 m2 for the storage and treatment of the material. The head offices for both companies are located in Piedras Blancas (Castrillón) with an area of 100 m2. CANDEL ENERGIA LOW ASH COAL Candel Energia, in its analysis and business development process detects the existing potential for coals of low ash content for the Silicon metal and Ferro-Silicon industry, and starts talks / negotiations with Hunosa, who is already conducting specific operations of anthracite washing from local sources. Our plant capacity is of 1.5 MM MT/Year. This plant has state of the art technology, as the washing of these coals requires an exhaustive control of the production process, which requires automatic control systems, high treatment capacity, high flexibility of production in terms volume, granulometry and ash content and that the results can be integrated into digital management systems.
