Clean Slate Utah

Clean Slate Utah is a Salt Lake City-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with criminal records in Utah to reclaim their lives and unlock new opportunities. Recognizing the significant barriers created by even minor historical offenses, we provide crucial support to navigate Utah’s Clean Slate law, a groundbreaking initiative that automatically clears eligible records for over 400,000 people. Our work focuses on raising awareness, offering accessible legal resources, and securing funding to cover associated government fees, ensuring that individuals can successfully petition for expungement and access housing, employment, and a brighter future. We amplify the voices of those directly impacted, advocating for a more equitable and just system, and ultimately, helping thousands of Utah residents move forward with confidence.
