Clema is a Jersey City, New Jersey-based active cooling wearable company specializing in solutions for industrial crews facing extreme heat. We design and manufacture lightweight, battery-powered cooling vests – like the ClemaCore – that deliver continuous cooling for up to 12 hours, fitting seamlessly under standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Clema was founded in 2024 by a UC Berkeley materials engineer and a BCG climate strategist, driven by the urgent need for effective, reliable cooling solutions for the 2.4 billion people who work where AC simply can’t reach. We’re committed to improving worker safety, productivity, and retention by providing a truly invisible and sustainable cooling experience.
We’re currently in the process of launching our first production batch in Summer 2026, and are accepting early access applications.
