Community Colleges for Iowa

Community Colleges for Iowa is a non-profit association dedicated to advocating for accessible and excellent higher education across Iowa’s 15 community colleges. As the ‘doing business as’ name for a collaborative network, we champion policies and initiatives that strengthen community college systems and support student success. We work closely with trustees, faculty, and staff to ensure Iowa’s community colleges remain vital engines of economic development and workforce training, providing critical pathways to opportunity for Iowans. Our advocacy efforts encompass legislative updates, data-driven reports, and collaborative partnerships with businesses and organizations like UNI, Coursedog, and F3 Law. We are committed to fostering a thriving higher education ecosystem that benefits both students and the state of Iowa, focusing on areas such as workforce development, financial aid resources, and student success strategies. We provide resources and support to help community colleges effectively train the workforce of tomorrow.
