Compassion Coalition

Compassion Coalition is a Knoxville, Tennessee-based faith-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing critical social needs within the community. As a coalition of churches, organizations, and businesses, we work to move beyond traditional church walls, embodying the compassionate presence of Christ in the face of poverty, pain, and brokenness. Our core mission is to inform, equip, and connect the wider church – nearly 700 churches in Knox County – to effectively respond to ‘gap needs’ and foster transformative community change. Through training programs like COPE and Bridges Out of Poverty, and initiatives such as the Frontline and Creating Space programs, we empower local churches to become active agents of positive social impact, connecting resources and volunteers to those most in need. We are committed to highlighting and supporting the efforts of organizations and individuals already working to uplift our city, fostering a collaborative ecosystem of compassion and service.
