Overview
Criotec was founded in 1989 and has always worked to achieve new goals and set itself stimulating professional challenges as these were raised by the market. The founder and his team of engineers have a solid background in cryogenics and high vacuum, which immediately established Criotec as a successful player in the market. Within just a few years Criotec was able to boast some major technical gas manufacturers among its most important customers. In 1996 Criotec entered the European market, demonstrating technological excellence with the production of advanced cryogenic systems. The company thus began to attract the attention of research centres and scientific organisations (CERN, FZK, CEA, ENEA, INFN), with which it entered into a series of profitable partnerships in Italy and Europe (Spain, France, Germany). These culminated, in 2005, in the company receiving the “Gold Award” for its production of cryogenic components for the CMS experiment carried out by CERN in Geneva.
Actually the company is also a worldwide leader in the production of Cable-In-Conduit Conductors (CICC) widly used in the ITER project.
