Cultured Books is a St. Petersburg, Florida-based children’s bookstore and literacy foundation dedicated to fostering a love of reading and celebrating diverse voices within the black community.

We cultivate a vibrant reading culture through engaging story times, book clubs, and community events, particularly through our annual St. Pete Reads! Lit Fest. Our mission is to broaden children’s worldviews and show them that stories don’t always begin with struggle.

Cultured Books Literary Foundation is building toward a permanent children’s literary arts museum rooted in local cultural practice and long-term stewardship. We are committed to providing meaningful book-centered experiences for children, youth, and families in South St. Pete. Our programs include St. Pete Reads! Lit Fest, youth workshops, and seasonal literary programming.
