Data Sharing in GCC research project

Data Sharing in GCC research project is a research initiative based in Knoxville, Tennessee, focused on understanding data sharing practices and attitudes among scientists in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This project, supported by the National Science Foundation, investigates how researchers manage their data within the Middle East, specifically in countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. We provide a crucial framework for improving data curation, research data management, and broader data sharing practices within the scientific community of the GCC, contributing to advancements in information science and science communication. Our research directly supports the DataONE organization's mission to facilitate data access and collaboration globally.
