Becoming a Guru of Skin As a teenager, I suffered badly with acne. I felt ashamed of my skin and it caused me to have a lot of self-esteem issues. Instead of letting it beat me, I tried anything and everything to find a solution that worked. This is where my love of skincare began. While studying for my degree in Bath, I began my career in beauty by working with a number of different high-end brands as a skincare expert and consultant. I adored helping clients with their individual skincare needs, answering questions and recommending products. I longed to build the relationship with customers which allowed me to follow their journey of self-love, based on what I’d learned through mine. This desire to help others explore their skin on a deeper level is what inspired DermaGuru.
