Dixie Rear Detachment

Dixie Rear Detachment is a Mobile, Alabama-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to boosting the morale of deployed U.S. military service members. Operating entirely through a dedicated team of volunteers, we meticulously assemble and ship personalized care packages directly to troops stationed around the world, including those serving in Iraq, Africa, and Afghanistan. Our mission is to provide a small but meaningful boost to the spirits of our brave men and women in uniform, particularly during the challenging holiday seasons. We achieve this by soliciting direct donations, leveraging Amazon Smile, and fostering strong community partnerships. With a proven track record of supporting over 1,500 service members in the past year, Dixie Rear Detachment represents a vital lifeline for those serving far from home, ensuring they receive a tangible expression of gratitude and support. We are a completely volunteer-run organization, with all overhead costs covered by our board of directors, allowing 100% of donated funds to be channeled directly into creating and shipping these essential care packages.
