Don Florian Pipe

I was born in Venice in 1971 and started pipe smoking in the 1990s at only 20 while bowing over my first manuals on jurisprudence. Became a lawjer and practiced the trade for some 12 years. Yet, my interest my attention more and more often diverted from the law codexes to the veinage of the briar in hand. Keeping an attentive eye for the work of the world's gratest artisan on the field, I finally managed in 2010 to bring my own work in to the light at first only for my own personal use, later for some close friends, whon promptly encourage me to stay on this briar poweder and veinage made path. ​Since 2013, pipe making has become my main activity,harbored in the family 's property,which comprises a very old chappel dedicated to San Floriano. To bring the Don Florian pipes to life, I individually pick the briar plaques I use, after careful observation, on Italy's best mills. Being a passionale for the frredom of best suiting shape with veinage, it 's needless to say my work is completely feehand without the use of any lathe whatsoever. The coloration of the pipes is also a natural process through pigments I myself produce by boiling several kinds of bark. By then, all that's left is the polishing which I very carefully do and using the purest carnauba wax. Only then are my pipes ready to be spread althrough the five continents where every day they offer the sky soft volutes of smoke...
