Duke Environmental Law & Policy Clinic is a Durham, North Carolina-based educational institution training the next generation of environmental leaders.

The Clinic, a joint enterprise of Duke University’s School of Law and Nicholas School of the Environment, provides access to justice for underserved communities facing environmental challenges. Students from both law and environmental science programs collaborate on a diverse range of cases, including water quality, air quality, and natural resources conservation.

Through hands-on experience in litigation, regulatory analysis, and strategic planning, students develop critical skills and contribute to client-focused solutions. The Clinic’s work supports environmental justice and promotes sustainable development, preparing students to address complex environmental issues across various professions.

Since 2007, the Clinic has provided invaluable legal support to communities and organizations, fostering a collaborative environment and empowering students to become impactful advocates for environmental protection.
