Duke University Cybersecurity Leadership Program

Duke University Cybersecurity Leadership Program is a Durham, North Carolina-based partnership offering intensive cybersecurity training for senior leaders in both the private and public sectors.

This program, a collaboration between the Pratt School of Engineering, Sanford School of Public Policy, Department of Computer Science, and Duke Law School, equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate today’s complex cybersecurity landscape.

The Cybersecurity Leadership Program delivers a focused curriculum, including courses on Cybersecurity and the Board, Challenges for the CISO, and Preparing for and Responding to a Data Breach, taught by Duke scholars and leading industry experts. It’s designed to help participants understand governance, risk management, and incident response, ultimately enabling them to lead effectively in a world increasingly threatened by cyberattacks.

Program Director David Hoffman, Steed Family Professor of the Practice of Cybersecurity Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy, brings extensive experience from Intel Corporation, where he served as Associate General Counsel and Director of Security Policy. He also chairs the Triangle Privacy Research Hub, fostering cybersecurity and privacy academic research.
