In 1989 five managers from leading oil companies founded Ecopetrol with the will to create a company able to provide all the services to support the oil industry.
In the 90s Ecopetrol was one of the first companies in the world to deal with data management believing that it is an important part of oil & gas industry.
Over the years, Ecopetrol has developed several research projects in Italy and abroad, keeping up to date with the best practices in the industry.
