Energy Challenge

The way energy is produced, distributed and consumed around the world is undergoing fundamental change. Energy efficiency and sustainability have become chief concerns as the world prepares for a low-carbon future. Furthermore, low-cost and communication-enabled sensors are becoming embedded in everything around us, giving rise to the smart grid concept and introducing a new type of energy user who consumes, produces, stores and shares energy with other grid users: the “prosumer”. The effective management of prosumers is vital for sustainable energy sharing within the smart grid. Through the combination of solid experience in IT system integration and an innate propensity towards change, Energy Challenge develops and integrates the technology platforms supporting this energy revolution.
