Environment & Culture Partners is a Washington-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening environmental leadership within the cultural sector – including museums, zoos, gardens, and historic sites. Founded in 2021, ECP provides clarity, resources, and partnerships to empower these institutions to implement evidence-based climate solutions and advocate for culture in climate conversations. We achieve this through three key pillars: Capacity Building, Engagement, and Representation, fostering collective action and driving systemic change. ECP’s approach, rooted in collaborative partnerships and systems thinking, recognizes the urgent need for rapid and impactful climate action within the cultural sector, connecting institutions with decision-makers and funders to amplify their voices and ensure their concerns are central to broader environmental strategies. With a team of seven professionals and a growing network of partners, ECP is committed to accelerating environmental stewardship across the cultural landscape.
