Environmental Law & Policy Center is a leading environmental legal advocacy organization based in Chicago, Illinois. We combine effective public interest litigation with strategic policy advocacy, sound science, and economic analysis to protect the Midwest’s environment. We advocate for clean air, clean water, clean energy, and clean transportation solutions, working to advance climate solutions and safeguard the Great Lakes and wild places. Our work ensures environmental progress and economic development can coexist, delivering impactful results for communities across the region and in Washington D.C.

ELPC’s multidisciplinary staff employs legal, economic, public policy, and communications tools to produce successes that improve our environment and economy. We are governed by a board composed of leaders from the business academic, legal, and civic sectors, and we are guided by expertise from several advisory councils.
