Η εφημερίδα «ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ» κυκλοφορεί από το 1981. Αποτελεί τη μεγαλύτερη εφημερίδα της Μεσσηνίας, με περίπου 70% στο μερίδιο κυκλοφορίας και τη μεγαλύτερη της Διοικητικής Περιφέρειας Πελοποννήσου. Η «Ε» πραγματοποιεί πέντε καθημερινές εκδόσεις -από Τρίτη έως και Σάββατο- και μια εβδομαδιαία- κάθε Δευτέρα, ενώ κυκλοφορεί και σε περισσότερα από 90 σημεία πώλησης στην Αθήνα. Σύμφωνα με έρευνα της Metron Analysis, οι καθημερινοί αναγνώστες της «Ε» ανέρχονται σε 18.500.
