Essex-Passaic Wellness Coalition (EPWC)

Essex-Passaic Wellness Coalition is a nonprofit organization based in Newark, New Jersey, dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer and other chronic diseases on residents of Essex and Passaic Counties.

We work closely with individuals, organizations, and governmental partners in both counties to promote improved outreach, education, screening, access to treatment, and follow-up care. Our work focuses on addressing risk factors, enhancing early detection, and facilitating survivorship for all residents.

The Essex Passaic Wellness Coalition collaborates with the Essex Cancer Education & Early Detection (CEED) Coalitions and the NJ Department of Health, Office of Cancer Control & Prevention, and numerous member organizations to achieve our goals of increased communication, resource optimization, and expanded cancer control efforts. We are committed to promoting healthful behaviors and reducing health disparities within our communities.

Established in 2003, the Coalition currently employs 8 staff members and has a significant impact through its various programs and partnerships.
