Expats & Spouses Monitor (ESM) Pioneering Evidence-Informed Solutions for Global Talent Management Status: Concluded in January 2025 After several inspiring years of research, collaboration, consultancy and impact, the ESM officially came to a close in January 2025. We’re sincerely grateful to all the HR departments, companies, public institutions, and —above all— to the expatriates and their partners who contributed to this journey. Your openness, insights and shared experiences made our work possible. Through an evidence-based approach and original research with over 850 expatriates in Germany, ESM supported organisations in shaping informed, inclusive global mobility strategies. We placed particular emphasis on expatriate partners —an often overlooked but essential part of the international talent agenda.
