Express & Release Therapeutic Dance is a Durham, North Carolina-based movement therapy company dedicated to helping adults and children recognize and release emotions through safe and authentic movement practices.

We provide a supportive community where individuals can explore their emotional landscape, develop self-awareness, and cultivate self-love. Our approach, rooted in the Lenae Release Method, emphasizes slowing down, pausing, and consciously connecting with the body to facilitate emotional regulation and self-expression.

Through workshops, school sessions, and one-on-one sessions, we offer tools and techniques for managing stress, building resilience, and fostering a deeper connection with oneself and others. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all, inspired by the wisdom of Rumi’s ‘Guest House’ philosophy – welcoming all emotions with curiosity and compassion.

Our team, including certified instructors and experienced facilitators, is passionate about empowering individuals to embrace their emotions and live more fully. We offer professional development trainings for educators and caregivers, and certifications in trauma-informed movement practices.
