Facility for Energy Inclusion

The Facility for Energy Inclusion (FEI) is a leading debt fund dedicated to accelerating the deployment of clean energy solutions across Africa. Based in London, this $400 million initiative, spearheaded by the African Development Bank and managed by Cygnum Capital, provides flexible financing to mini-grid developers, C&I solar providers, and Independent Power Producers (IPPs). FEI’s mission is to unlock private capital and drive inclusive growth by supporting small- and medium-scale renewable energy infrastructure, ultimately contributing to a net-zero future for the continent. With a proven track record of 22 investments across 73 countries and 137,328 tonnes of CO2e emissions avoided to date, FEI is a critical catalyst for sustainable energy access and economic development in Africa.
