Families Forward

Families Forward is a nonprofit organization based in Irvine, California, dedicated to preventing and ending family homelessness.

Founded in 1984, Families Forward began as a small effort to provide housing for families experiencing homelessness, and has since grown into one of Orange County’s most impactful nonprofits. We tackle the pervasive issue of homelessness for families with children, offering a comprehensive range of services designed to create lasting stability.

Our approach centers on providing vital support, including food assistance, career coaching, mental health counseling, and financial literacy education, all aimed at strengthening overall wellbeing and ensuring every family has a place to call home. We are committed to helping families achieve self-sufficiency and maintain stable housing.

Last year, Families Forward improved the lives of 16,000 people, and over 97% of our graduating families remain stably housed one year later. We are proud to be a trusted resource for families in need within the Orange County community.
