Family Promise of the Big Bend

Family Promise of the Big Bend is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and ending family, Veteran, and chronic homelessness in Tallahassee, Florida. We provide comprehensive support to vulnerable families and veterans, offering shelter, transitional housing, and vital resources to foster independence and stability. Our integrated approach addresses key needs – including education, employment, health, and housing – empowering individuals to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. With a strong community-based network and a focus on long-term solutions, Family Promise of the Big Bend is committed to creating a brighter future for families and veterans in the Big Bend region. Established in 1988, we’ve grown to serve over 50 families annually, partnering with local organizations to deliver impactful services and drive positive change. We are proud to offer specialized programs like REfire Culinary, providing job training and placement opportunities, and utilize HMIS to effectively manage our services and track outcomes.
