Farmers for Forests (F4F)

Farmers for Forests (F4F) is a hybrid social enterprise that works on protecting and restoring forest cover in very close collaboration with rural communities. We financially support farmers to protect existing forests, undertake reforestation and transition to agroforestry on degraded agricultural land. We want to make biodiverse farms and forests financially viable for communities through the use of a blended finance model that relies on philanthropy, government scheme, carbon revenue and sustainably harvested forest produce. We are bringing the Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) model to the Indian forestry sector.
