Farmont Foundation

The Hans and Marlene Farmont Foundation is committed to strengthening Europe through its next generation. We create spaces where young Europeans engage in meaningful dialogue, take responsibility, and develop a deeper understanding of Europe’s shared challenges and opportunities. At the heart of our work is the Farmont Summer School — an intensive, ten-day sailing journey that brings together selected participants from across Europe. On board, discussions, workshops, and shared experiences foster perspective shifts, critical thinking, and lasting connections. Our approach combines intellectual exchange with lived experience. The maritime setting is not a backdrop, but a framework: it requires cooperation, attentiveness, and responsibility — qualities essential for Europe’s future. We believe that sustainable change begins with dialogue, courage, and the willingness to question one’s own assumptions.
