At a time when information is the most important development factor of contemporary man we have created a new Means of Mass Media. The demands of our time for immediate and accurate information combined with the need for the creation of a reliable and high-level News Portal for Crete and the rest of Greece, have led us to the creation of Flashnews.gr. In 2011, a group of Media market Executives, Journalists and Information Technology Scientists, after seeking and analyzing data that would create a friendly, ergonomic and fast –to the average reader- digital environment, created the first News Portal with News from Crete at the time happening. The philosophy of Flashnews.gr is anthropocentric: Showing respect to the reader regarding information issues, without sensationalism, following journalistic ethics, presenting all political and social trends, aiming at the unbiased and impartial dissemination of information, supported by our elegantly designed website. Due to the fact that the island of Crete is one of the biggest economic regions of Greece, which presents important development as far as services, products and tourism are concerned, the objective of Flashnews.gr is to become the first News Portal for all people of Cretan descent all over the world. Also it aims to become the first online news and information browsing tool regarding the island of Crete and to present and highlight the civilization, the culture and the entrepreneurship of its residents.
