Overview
Food Heaven is a Toledo, Ohio-based podcast and nutrition counseling service dedicated to empowering women with intuitive eating and diabetes management. As Black registered dietitian nutritionists and certified diabetes educators, Jessica and Wendy provide accessible and inclusive wellness resources.
We began in 2011 as a creative outlet to build community through food, evolving into a trusted source for nutrition guidance.
Food Heaven’s approach is rooted in Health at Every Size, emphasizing body respect and intuitive eating alongside practical diabetes education. Our journey began with collaborative workshops for the NYC Department of Health, teaching families to shop healthfully and create culturally relevant meals.
From humble beginnings – including a famously silent first video shoot – we’ve grown to offer virtual nutrition counseling in over 23 states, supported by a passionate community and a commitment to making nutrition accessible to all.
