Fort Worth HR (FWHR) is a non-profit organization and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) affiliate serving HR professionals in the greater Fort Worth area. The mission of Fort Worth HR is to advance the human resource profession by: • Promoting the strategic value of human resources; • Developing the skills and knowledge of its members; and • Facilitating the development of professional relationships. Fort Worth HR holds monthly meetings and two annual conferences that bring our members together to help them stay current with the ever changing employment legislation . Our members also have access to our membership directory and online forums for exchanging information, ideas or trends in the HR world. They can also enjoy discounts for meetings, conferences, and other training events and have access to member-only events throughout the year. With 500 members representing more than 200 area employers and more than 30 hours of continuing education opportunities each year, Fort Worth HR is the place to network, share, and learn with the HR community. Our chapter also participates in the activities of the Texas State Council of SHRM as well other activities with our sister SHRM chapters in North Texas. Although our members have access to each other - the professional and personal relationships developed while volunteering in Fort Worth HR activities are invaluable.
