Freedom House is a Greensboro, North Carolina-based nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing mothers and redeeming lives through Christ-centered recovery.

Since 2006, Freedom House has provided a long-term, Christian-based recovery program where women can heal from addiction while living with their young children in a safe, structured, and family-focused environment. We meet mothers where they are, offering a comprehensive solution that addresses the root causes of addiction and equips them with the tools for lasting change.

Our unique program keeps families together, providing a financially manageable, 9–12 month residential program with aftercare support, employment readiness, and a focus on spiritual growth and family restoration. We’ve helped over 100 families rebuild their lives and break generational cycles of addiction, demonstrating a 80% success rate in sustaining sobriety one year after graduation.

Freedom House operates thrift stores and a farm, supporting our mission and providing valuable work experience for our residents. We are committed to providing a beacon of hope and a pathway to a brighter future for mothers and children in North Carolina.
