Overview
This company is devoted to the development of a new kind of geothermal power systems for geothermal energy exploitation that will use proprietary patented methodologies and technologies.
The principles of this new technology, as a whole, are named "4th generation geothermal power production".
These principles overcome the previous and obsolete technology named "HDR system" (Hot Dry Rock), that may be considered as the 3rd generation geothermal power system.
Fourth Generation Geothermal Energy is aimed to overcoming the problems of previous geothermal generations in order to allow the production of massive power (from 350 MW to 5 GW) from geothermal sources, comparable with nuclear and combined-cycle plants without any fuel consumption and without any environmental impact that traditional fossil/nuclear sources and older generation geothermal plants have.
The large use of patented nanomaterials and patented nanoprocessing systems will allow to increase geothermal wells yield, from the current output of 10/15 percent of potential energy available to 80 percent and over.
The adoption of a new heat cycle will simplify the power plant design; reducing costs, size, complexity, and maintenance costs to a fraction of current power plants.
Environmental impacts will be reduced to a negligible level because induced seismicity will be eliminated.
The goal of the company is to create the "proof of concept" plant (250 to 500MW) in less than 5 years.
