Gender Focus

Gender Focus is a leading online platform dedicated to sharing critical insights from research projects addressing violence against women and girls, mental distress, climate change, and water and sanitation challenges globally. Based in the UK, we support researchers and funders by curating and disseminating research findings, particularly from the University of Portsmouth’s International Development Group and its partners. Our work focuses on understanding the complex social and economic factors driving these issues, including harmful cultural practices like female genital mutilation and child marriage, and promoting innovative solutions through methods like the Displacement Narrators storytelling approach. We are committed to fostering collaboration and driving positive change through accessible research and impactful storytelling.
